As a public artist, Paul sees each project as a
unique solution to the needs of the site : the place
and the people who use it. He considers the nature
and history of the site, how people use it now, how
to keep people safe around it and how to ensure the
durability of his work. This approach is his trademark
across the huge variety of places in which he has
been commissioned to work. From the lyrical "Angels
of Music" in the gates of a medieval church
concert hall, to burlesque ballroom dancers who raise
smiles in the courtyard of a hospital, Paul's public
art works are designed to fit the individual site.
